Jim Harbaugh once "guaranteed" victory over Ohio State but he won't repeat that move

Jim Harbaugh has always been an "interesting" personality, even when he was playing quarterback at Michigan. The head coach even went as far as to guarantee victory before the 1986 game between the Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes and, predictably, Harbaugh was asked if he would repeat that proclamation in advance of this week's contest in Ann Arbor.

He declined in true Harbaugh fashion.

Obviously, no one would have actually expected Harbaugh to guarantee victory now that he is a more mature leader than a college kid who popped off to the media 30 years ago, but it was worth a shot. In fairness, Harbaugh and the Wolverines backed up his guarantee with a close-fought win back in 1986, and even as Michigan enters as an underdog to what should be an angry and focused Ohio State team this week, anything is possible within the confines of the game's best rivalry.
