Jim Harbaugh is a strange fellow in virtually every way. At this point, Michigan fans love the idiosyncrasies associated with their new head coach, and as you may expect, Harbaugh's odd personality translates on to how he elects to run practices in Ann Arbor.

Ben Fidelman of The Michigan Daily shed some light on Harbaugh's musical selections during practice for the Wolverines, and there is an extremely odd inclusion.

"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is an extremely interesting choice for a football practice. First of all, it doesn't have the most inspirational message, and beyond that, it was born in 1975 from the pen of Gordon Lightfoot. That isn't a bad thing, per se, but Michigan plays likely have no idea who Lightfoot is or about any of his work, leaving Harbaugh alone on an island here.
Something tells me that Michigan would have it no other way, but perhaps Harbaugh will change things up after the season-opening loss to Utah.
Probably not.
