Jim Harbaugh's newest recruiting strategy includes a sleepover

Jim Harbaugh might be a little bit crazy, but this new recruiting strategy of his might be the craziest thing that he's done so far.

Three-star kicker Quinn Nordin (6-foot-0, 200 pounds, Rockford, Mi.) is the top rated kicker of the 2016 class by 247Sports, and he is currently committed to Penn State. However, Coach Harbaugh really wants the kicker to come to Michigan, and is planning a sleepover at Nordin's house in a effort to flip the recruit.

"Under the exact rules, he's going to be at my house at 12:01," Quinn told Scout.com. "That's when it's legal for him to be at my house. He said we can watch a movie, see how well we gel and he said he would sleep over after that."

That's not all, as Harbaugh told Nordin that he would even go with him to school the next day, and that he would even help will a little home renovation project. Again via Scout:

"He told me if I had a 6-foot-3 inch piece of carpet for him to sleep on, that would be enough. I said we have guest rooms, and he said 'Tell you what, I'll just sleep on the floor in your room.' I said 'Coach, I have Penn State stuff all over my walls.' He said, 'Tell you what, I can help you take it down.'"

Yes, Harbaugh is doing all of this for a kicker. That won't be all that Nordin sees of Harbaugh, too, as the kicker is scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan this weekend.

As they said it the movie Dodgeball, it's a bold strategy, Cotton; let's see if it pays off for him.
