Bill Belichick's first year at North Carolina has been anything but quiet. The Tar Heels are 2-2, his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson has become a fixture on the sidelines, and now Jon Gruden has decided to chime in.

And in classic Gruden fashion, he didn't exactly hold back.
Appearing on "Wake Up Barstool," the former Raiders coach was asked if his wife ever joined him on the sidelines during games. Gruden's reply? Pure sarcasm.
"Well, actually, she called the game-winner against the Ravens on Monday Night Football a couple years ago," Gruden cracked. "She came down on the field and helped me through a tough situation. It was an all-out blitz, and she told me to go with 58 Surge. So, thank God she saved me that day. I've never seen anything like that."
Gruden wasn't done. He immediately pivoted to another jab. "You know, Mike Lombardi works for North Carolina. I've heard him criticize me several times. I'm sure he'll produce a TikTok today explaining exactly what was going on there."
The Hudson/Belichick relationship has become one of the most talked-about subplots of the college football season. Fans and media alike have pointed out Hudson's regular pregame presence on the UNC sideline, something rarely seen with coaches' wives or partners.

Would this be a story if Belichick had UNC rolling? Probably not. But after blowout losses to TCU and UCF by a combined score of 82-13, every detail is under the microscope.
For now, Hudson's sideline cameos and Gruden's sarcasm are just another layer to a circus that only seems to get louder every week in Chapel Hill.
