Four-star ATH Jordan Moore stays in-state with big commitment

Jordan Moore isn't traveling far from home to play college football.

Christmas Eve was a big day for 2017 prospect Jordan Moore. The four-star athlete announced earlier in the week that he would be choosing between a quintet of impressive college programs on Saturday evening and, as promised, Moore did just that. In the end, it was Kevin Sumlin and the Texas A&M Aggies that secured his commitment.

Moore, who is being evaluated by recruiting services as both a running back and a safety, held offers from the likes of Ohio State, Michigan and Texas, but the Aggies put together the best pitch. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound senior from Yoakum, Texas was always seen as a likely candidate to remain close to home. Still, it is always noteworthy when the Aggies outpace the Longhorns (among others) for one of the top prospects in the state, even with full knowledge that Sumlin has some significant recruiting wins on his resume since arriving in College Station.

With Moore's commitment in the fold, Texas A&M holds a top-10 recruiting class nationally and they will add an impressive group of recruits to an already talented roster. Jordan Moore's destination in terms of the depth chart remains up in the air, but this is a very nice pick-up for the Aggies.
