Lane Kiffin is the head coach at Florida Atlantic University, but before he accepted the job, Kiffin was rumored to be interested in becoming the next offensive coordinator at rival LSU.

That's no longer a rumor, as Kiffin confirmed he did consider taking the LSU offensive coordinator job with head coach Ed Orgeron.
Via The Spun:
"Kiffin admitted today to sportscaster Bo Mattingly that he considered leaving Alabama to join Ed Orgeron at LSU. Multiple reports late in the 2016 season said the Tigers had interest in bringing the talented offensive mind aboard."
Kiffin moving to LSU may have ostensibly been a lateral move for Kiffin, but it's become clear in recent months that the Nick Saban and Kiffin marriage wasn't going to last much longer.
It's fair to believe Kiffin would have had a better relationship working with Orgeron at LSU, but he ultimately took the head coaching opportunity.
LSU still landed a good offensive coordinator in Matt Canada, so they should be fine, but this definitely a fun "What if?" question.
