Lane Kiffin had been linked to several coaching jobs throughout the year and especially after the end of the regular season when other coaches were getting fired or taking other jobs, and now he's apparently landed his next gig. At Florida Atlantic:

Kiffin was going to be the head coach at Houston and then there was the offensive coordinator job at LSU to reunite with his buddy Ed Orgeron.

Once Houston filled up its spot and Oregon hired Willie Taggart, that didn't leave Kiffin with a whole lot of options and so now he's taking the head coaching position at one of the few schools still in need of one.

Kiffin has been the offensive coordinator at Alabama since 2014, has won a National Championship with the Crimson Tide and was likely about to lead them to another one this season before he took the job. Kiffin knows the south well in terms of recruiting so it should be interesting to see if he can turn that program around in a short amount of time.
It's being reported that Kiffin will stay with Alabama through its playoff run though:
