Looks like one team is prepared to fire their coach and pay $10M for a new one

That's... that's a lot of money.

Well this looks like it could be the end for one coach, and a healthy beginning to another coach's bank account.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Nike founder Phil Knight is willing to pay $10 million-plus for a new Oregon head coach, as Knight is hoping for an Oregon national title soon.

That's... that's a lot of money. If Oregon and Knight did pay $10 million per year for a new head coach, that coach would immediately become the highest-paid head coach in college football, topping Jim Harbaugh's $9 million per year.

Sorry, Mark Helfrich. It looks like Knight is looking for greener pastures for the Ducks, and he is willing to use his own greenbacks to get there.

I'm sure Chip Kelly will take your phone calls, Phil.
