Lou Holtz's pick to win the national championship isn't even in his college football playoff predictions

Lou Holtz predicted four teams to make this year's college football playoff, then picked a national champion winner who wasn't one of his four playoff teams.

Legendary coach T. Boone Pickens has a YouTube channel —yes, really— and he recently released a video with Lou Holtz where the two talk about the upcoming football season.

Holtz predicted LSU to win the national title this year in an extremely bold pick—-he didn't even pick the Tigers to make the playoff. He said at the beginning of the video that Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Notre Dame would make the postseason. Granted, Pickens started by telling Holtz the Crimson Tide would make it, which Holtz agreed with.

Towards the end of the video, though, the former Notre Dame coach predicted LSU will win the title and said Alabama will have a tough time repeating with a freshman quarterback.

Maybe Lou's onto something; he gave props to both Alabama and LSU, so fans of the respective schools can't be mad at him.
