Marriott defense attorneys claim Erin Andrews being violated was good for her career

Erin Andrews is suing the Nashville Marriott hotel for $75 million.

Well, this is something.

Fox Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews is in the middle of a civil suit against Michael David Barrett —- the man who in July 2009 videotaped her undressing at a Nashville hotel and then posted the photos online —- and the Nashville Marriott, where the incident occurred. Andrews took the stand and emotionally described the distress that the events caused her. Andrews is suing the Nashville Marriott for $75 million. Barrett, who was sentenced to 30 months in prison in Oct. 2009 for interstate stalking, requested a room next to the former ESPN broadcaster on the day that he recorded the video of her through her door's peephole.

Andrews was hired by Fox Sports in the summer of 2012, after her contract with ESPN expired. During the trial on Tuesday, Marriott's attorneys claimed that the video tape being released of Andrews actually had a positive impact on her professional career — no really, they did.

What are you thinking defense team? The defense apparently laid out her new deal with Fox as well as a number of different endorsement deals that came after the stalking incident, and then connected the timeline.

Yikes. Maybe try not to stoop so low, defense attorneys.
