Three-star safety Ahman Ross decommitted from Miami prior to the start of the 2016 season, and his recruitment had been a major tossup since. This is a huge get for Kiffin with Florida Atlantic, as Ross immediately becomes the highest-rated commitment for the Owls. Kiffin should be able to bring a recruiting boost to Florida Atlantic, and getting Ross over the major in-state competitors is a good start.
Ross is the 12th commitment for Florida Atlantic's 2017 class.
