Miami WR out indefinitely after "non-football" injury

Some bad news for Miami

According to a statement released by Miami on Friday, wide receiver Sam Bruce is out "indefinitely" after an injury to a lower extremity in a non-football related activity.

The Palm Beach Post is currently speculating that Bruce will need surgery, which would knock him out for the season. He will still be eligible to redshirt this year, but it would be a blow to Miami's depth at wide receiver.

Bruce was already suspended for three games this season due to an alleged photo that showed Bruce brandishing a gun.

Though just 5-foot-8, the four-star Bruce was ranked as one of the top receivers in the 2016 recruiting class. Rivals had him as the No. 7 wideout, and in the Top 50 for overall recruits.
