Five-star DE Micah Parsons says he hopes to make a major recruiting decision "soon"

This could be a huge decision by the No. 1 overall DE.

This could end up having a major effect on recruiting.

Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons (6-foot-3, 235 pounds, Harrisburg, Pa.) recently did an interview with Adam Friedman of Rivals.com, where he stated that he hopes to enroll early this year.

If everything goes right I'll probably be an early graduate so I'm probably going to make a decision soon," Parsons said to Rivals. "I should know if I can possibly graduate early within the next couple weeks."

The decision on if Parsons will be able to enroll early will be pivotal in his recruitment, as it likely means that he will have a decision by December in order to sign a Letter of Intent in the new early signing period.

Parsons also mentioned that he already has official visits planned for Ohio State and Nebraska, and that he will need some time in determining what to do with his other three official visits.

Parsons decommitted from Penn State back in April, but they are still one of the top teams in his recruitment. Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson are also considered serious contenders for him at this point.

Parsons is the No. 1 defensive end and the No. 5 overall recruit according to the 247Sports Composite.
