Michigan and Rashan Gary ended this SEC streak on Wednesday

Michigan ended a valued SEC-streak in recruiting.

The SEC has objectively been dominating the college football landscape for about the past decade, mainly by winning almost all of the national titles since Florida won with Chris Leak and co. in 2006.

Naturally, that kind of dominance on the field crosses over with recruiting, as the conference has also been at the top of the recruiting rankings for several years now. However, Michigan got one back on the SEC this week by getting No. 1 overall recruit Rashan Gary. Here is exactly what that meant:

That's right, the SEC has gotten every Rivals No. 1 overall recruit since Ohio State nabbed Terrelle Pryor in 2008. Here is where the No. 1 overall recruits have gone since.

2008: Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State
2009: Bryce Brown, Tennessee
2010: Ronald Powell, Florida
2011: Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina
2012: Dorial Green-Beckham, Missouri
2013: Robert Nkemdiche, Ole Miss
2014: Da'Shawn Hand, Alabama
2015: Byron Cowart, Auburn
2016: Rashan Gary, Michigan

Will the Big Ten be able to end the SEC's other dominance in national titles? That's left to be seen, but at least Ohio State and Michigan are pulling in the recruits like few other non-SEC schools are right now.
