Michigan gets sick INT to seal win vs. No. 8 Wisconsin

Michigan clinched a win over Wisconsin with this highlight interception.

The great majority of buzz surrounding the Michigan Wolverines defense in 2016 has centered on Jabrill Peppers with good reason. Peppers has emerged as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate given his versatile and highly impressive skill set, but on Saturday, Jourdan Lewis reminded many fans that he was actually the returning All-American on Jim Harbaugh's defense.

Lewis put the game away with a highlight reel interception for the ages against Wisconsin, taking a long-range attempt from the Badgers and turning it into a spectacle for the defense. To be fair, though, it probably shouldn't have happened.

With Wisconsin attempting to convert a fourth down deep in their own territory, Lewis would have been "smarter" from a game theory perspective to simply knock the ball to the turf, but that would have deprived football fans from seeing a memorable play. Lewis and his team did not have a breezy victory in the way that many predicted against the visiting Badgers, but in the end, this was the play that clinched the win and Michigan Men everywhere can resume breathing.
