In mid-October, Michigan wide receiver Grant Perry was given a two-game suspension for what was described as "disciplinary reasons" and, now, we know why. In short, it is a very bad look.

Perry was arraigned on Thursday and charged with four counts. Two counts were of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, with one count of assault and battery of a police officer and one count of a minor in possession of alcohol, per court records. The Lansing State Journal brings word that Perry's indictment stems from the accusation that he touched a female on the night of Oct. 15 and, in the moments immediately after, the Wolverines took swift action.
The sophomore receiver is suspended "immediately and indefinitely", and the university issued the following statement:
"The University was made aware of the arrest of student-athlete Grant Perry earlier this fall. He was immediately suspended from all team activities at that time and missed two games. Based on the information at that time, Grant was allowed to resume team activities pending the outcome of the investigation.
"Upon being informed that charges would be filed, he was immediately and indefinitely suspended from all team activities until the legal process is completed."
The incident in question took place during Michigan's bye week and Perry was absent for games against Michigan State and Illinois. Details will continue to surface on this matter but, for now, Perry is on the outside looking in when it comes to the football program and that is the only logical decision.
