Morris was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, and he committed to play for former head coach Brady Hoke. Morris, a fourth-year junior, will have one year of eligibility remaining after he graduates. He will be eligible to play immediately next season.
Despite being a highly touted recruit, Morris never panned out on the field. He went 47 for 92 for 434 yards, zero touchdowns and five interceptions for his career.
The Wolverines have several quarterbacks set to return next season, including Wilson Speight, John O'Korn and Dylan McCaffrey, a four-star commit for the Class of 2017.
