Nation's No. 2 ILB turns down Alabama to stay close to home

One of the top recruits in the country has committed.

The nation's No. 2 inside linebacker Nate McBride is staying close to home with his commitment to Georgia.

McBride had offers from Georgia, Oregon, Auburn, Alabama, Stanford, Florida State, Michigan and Florida among others.

The 6'2", 220-pound recruit from Vidalia, Georgia, is the No. 12 overall recruit from the state of Georgia.

McBride's junior season ended before it even began after he broke his wrist in a car accident more than a year ago. He's a top-100 player in the country.
