Nation's No. 2 OLB J.J. Peterson solidifies leader, names official top five schools

Those are the big boys too.

J.J. Peterson is the No. 2 outside linebacker in the country according to Scout, and he's in Oregon for Nike's The Opening Finals. He spoke to Scout about his recruitment and named the Crimson Tide as his top school right now. He also named the rest of his top five as well as the top two out of that group.

"It's five, I'll say 'Bama, Oregon, Auburn, Georgia and Michigan," he said. "It's just 'Bama. 'Bama and Oregon are the top two. I visited Alabama two weeks ago, it was straight. 'Bama is 'Bama, everything is rollin'. After that, I went to the Big Cat Weekend (at Auburn) and chilled for the day."

The 6'2", 210-pound linebacker out of Georgia also has offers from Florida, Florida State, Clemson and LSU as well as others. Peterson knows he will be taking a visit back to Oregon to see the Ducks later this month, but doesn't have any other visits set in stone.

Here's some of his highlights:
