Woodbey's decision may have been heavily influenced by five-star offensive lineman Wyatt Davis, who is a high school teammate of Woodbey. Davis, the No. 1 offensive guard in the country, is a member of Ohio State's outstanding 2017 recruiting class.
As far as 2018 goes, Woodbey is only the Buckeyes' third commit, but it is still very early in the cycle. He joins five-star quarterback Emory Jones and four-star running back Brian Snead among 2018 pledges for Ohio State.
