Newspaper royally screws up headline, wrongly describes which school one late round QB attended

Newspaper messes up which school this late round QB attended.

Former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly was taken by the Denver Broncos with the No. 253 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, making him the infamous Mr. Irrelevant of the draft.

Someone for the Norwich Bulletin, a newspaper in eastern Connecticut, wrote a story on Kelly, except they said in the headline that Kelly attended Mississippi State instead of Ole Miss.

Mississippi State and Ole Miss are rivals in the SEC, and the schools aren't very fond of one another. Kelly led the Rebels to a 38-27 win in his lone start against the Bulldogs in 2015.

Perhaps the newspaper was thinking of Dak Prescott, who took the NFL by storm after being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round out of Mississippi State in 2015.

The newspaper has since changed the headline, but the damage was already done. Fans and players of both schools were probably equally offended by the headline.
