One of the top recruits in the nation is set to announce an early commitment.
Four-star all-purpose back Jaelen Gill (6-foot-1, 182 pounds, Westerville, OH) announced on Wednesday that he is closing in on a decision, which he will announce next week on March 1.
Gill is set to choose from a number of schools, including Michigan, UCLA and Notre Dame. However, the current leader for Gill appears to be Ohio State, as 247Sports has the Buckeyes with a 100-percent chance at landing the touted four-star recruit.
Gill is rated as the No. 1 all-purpose back and the No. 3 overall recruit in Ohio by the 247Sports player rankings. Overall, he rates in the Top 50 of all recruits in the 2018 class, which puts him on the verge of becoming a five-star. Gill has primarily been playing running back in high school, but he could play a more hybrid H-back or slot role in college.
