Jimbo Fisher and the 'Noles' 2016 recruiting class is seriously cleaning up on Wednesday. Seemingly all morning, it's been basically nothing but good news. That continued with the No. 4 ranked linebacker in Dontavious Jackson (6-foot-2, 239 pounds, Houston, Tx.) announced that he would be going to Florida State over Texas. Prior to the announcement, he was projected to have a 62% chance of going to Texas per 247Sports.
The pick up is big for Fisher and Company — per Tomahawk Nation, Jackson ended the 2014 season with 165 tackles — he had 107 total in 2013. In addition, Jackson had 27 tackles for loss, six sacks, four pass break ups, four forced fumbles and an interception in 2014.
Florida State's class, shortly after Jackson's announcement, moved up to the No. 3 class in the country according to 247Sports. Be sure to follow all things #NSD2016 with our live, National Signing Day page by following this link. FanBuzz will continue to keep you updated all day.
