It hasn't been a good year in South Bend.
Notre Dame fell 28-27 to Navy on Saturday, which represents the Irish's sixth loss on a 3-6 season. The worst part for Notre Dame? They now risk being ineligible for a bowl game for the first time since a 3-9 record in 2007 when Charlie Weis was still the head coach.
Though they only won by one point, Navy did a fantastic job of controlling the pace of this game with their sometimes plodding option offense. Notre Dame was only afforded six possessions for the entire game, including two in the second half.

Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo now gets his third win over Notre Dame, becoming only the second Navy coach to reach that mark. Notre Dame is 76-13-1 all-time against Navy.
