Notre Dame is already an ACC member in all other sports, but has gone its on way in football. The Irish would be the 15th conference member, leading to speculation that the ACC would seek a 16th member if Notre Dame comes on board.
The financial implications of such a move are unclear, Notre Dame has its own, $15 million annual agreement with NBC that lasts through 2025. The ACC has announced its planning its on network to begin in 2019. Surely, the conference would want the Irish in that package.
