In a blockbuster report,Notre Dame, which has historically and fiercely guarded its football independence, is considering making a change that would shake the college football world.
Notre Dame is already an ACC member in all other sports, but has gone its on way in football. The Irish would be the 15th conference member, leading to speculation that the ACC would seek a 16th member if Notre Dame comes on board.
