Oklahoma and Nebraska get a little weird with their scheduling

Future scheduling and contracts are a big thing in college football, as teams like to have a plan for who they are going to play over the next several seasons. This helps prevent schools from ending up short-scheduled for games in case one team has to back out, or whatever reason that might cause a scheduling issue.

Well, Oklahoma and Nebraska just took future scheduling to another whole level.

That is... pretty ridiculous. The two former in-conference rivals already have dates lined up in 2020 and 2021, so maybe this extra series is just a good faith measure to ensure that the two continue to keep each other on the schedule relatively often. But 13 and 14 years out seems pretty excessive.

Those two are not the only ones that are digging into the 2030s of scheduling. Arizona decided to get in on it as well, with the Wildcats scheduling games for 2028 and 2031 with Nebraska.

So if you haven't gotten your plane tickets yet, at least you still have plenty of time to save up!
