The AP preseason poll is set to be released on Sunday, but some voters are more than happy to share who they voted for ahead of the release.
One of those people — or publications, rather — was The Advocate out of Louisiana. They apparently do a group effort on their vote, and what they came up with was a bit of a surprise: Florida State at No. 1 and LSU at No. 2.
The full ballot:
1. Florida State
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Oklahoma
5. Clemson
6. Tennessee
7. Michigan
8. Ohio State
9. Stanford
10. Louisville
11. Washington
12. Houston
13. TCU
14. Notre Dame
15. Michigan State
16. Iowa
17. Miami
18. Ole Miss
19. Georgia
20. UCLA
21. Florida
22. Washington State
23. North Carolina
24. Oregon
25. Oklahoma State
This is definitely the lowest we have seen Clemson on one of the preseason polls. The Tigers have usually been cracking the Top 4, and are usually one of the top two teams.

Tennessee at No. 6 is very interesting, and three SEC teams that high is also very intriguing. It definitely sounds like a recipe for two SEC West teams to get into the College Football Playoff.
Other things deeper in this vote: Miami at No. 17 seems really high. Their most impressive win last year was beating Duke, and they got gifted that touchdown return to end the game to win that one. Sure, they have Mark Richt at head coach now, but putting them at No. 17 is a very confident take.
Thankfully for all of us, the season is just two weeks away.
