Pittsburgh Panthers players received a special visit from Santa Claus on Wednesday afternoon.

Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi dressed as Santa and gave out NCAA-approved bowl gifts ahead of the Panthers' game against Northwestern in the Pinstripe Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

The gifts included shirts, pullovers, sweatpants, jackets, backpacks and other gifts from New Era, who sponsors the Pinstripe Bowl. Santa's "elf" was tight ends coach Tim Salem, who also dressed up for the occasion.

Quarterback Nathan Peterman approved of his coaches' outfits.
"We got some great Christmas characters in a couple of our coaches, and that provided a laugh," Peterman said. "So yeah, we're just enjoying this time. For a lot of us, it's going to be the last time we play in a Pittsburgh uniform, so definitely enjoying it."
The Panthers finished the regular season at 8-4, and they defeated both ACC champion Clemson and Big 10 champion Penn State.
