Genmark-Heath, a 6'2, 205-pound safety from San Diego, committed to Cal and Sonny Dykes in October. Dykes was fired and replaced with former Wisconsin defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox earlier this year.
He is the 16th commitment for this class for the Fighting Irish. According to 247Sports, Notre Dame now has the 11th ranked class for 2017.
