Oregon Star Traeshon Holden Ejected For Spitting on Ohio State Player

The Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes squared off in what was one of the most anticipated matchups of the College Football season. With the second-ranked Buckeyes and third-ranked Ducks going head-to-head, most expected the game to have major implications on the race toward the College Football Playoff.

Oregon's Traeshon Holden Spits on Ohio State Player

Things got heated early between the Buckeyes and the Ducks. Oregon Wide Receiver Traeshon Holden appeared to be in for a big game against Ohio State after reeling in a 32-yard reception early in the first half. Unfortunately for the Ducks star, he got himself ejected in the second quarter after spitting on Buckeyes' cornerback Davison Igbinosun.

Even more odd is that Holden did it right in front of an official who almost immediately told the Ducks wide receiver to hit the locker room early.

Fans on Twitter didn't appear too happy with Holden either.

"I know that one has to go out when one needs to urinate. Will the players now go out to spit as well? This will be a huge waste of time," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"It'll be interesting to see how this impacts the team moving forward and any potential consequences he may face," another user added.

Ryan Candid Gets Honest on Buckeyes' Tough Schedule

The Buckeyes are hoping to add yet another title to their crowded trophy case. But it won't be easy as it will be a tall task to even get into the final four and qualify for the College Football Playoff. Several teams make a strong case to get there but simply will not qualify.

Ohio State may have the toughest road to the College Football Playoff. All of their six remaining games are against FBS schools and three of those schools are ranked in the top 20. But Day says that their challenging schedule gives them the opportunity to control their own destiny. He likes their chances.

"I think it's great because we, you get to control your own destiny," Day said. "Because you're playing the best teams in the league on our schedule. That parts great. A lot at stake this weekend which is exactly how we want it."
