Oregon State’s QB nearly gets decapitated by Minnesota defender Vine/Screenshot

There is taking a hit, and there is what happened here.

Oregon State took on Minnesota last night, and Beavers quarterback Darell Garretson got hit several times by the Minnesota defense. On this particular occasion, Garretson got rocked by Tai’yon Devers, who did his best WWE impression by hitting Garretson with what looks like a clothesline.

Garretson fumbled the ball from the hit, which also knocked his helmet off. Oregon State got the ball back, but this hit — and the one below — definitely left their marks.

Minnesota went on to win, 30-23.
