Oregon Student Nails $100,000 College Gameday Field Goal While Nick Saban Holds the Kick

The College Gameday field goal challenge continues to pay major dividends for participating students. The latest success came on Saturday as an Oregon student nailed the 33-yard kick, but this time, the ante was upped as Nick Saban served as the placeholder.

Kyle Kramer, a junior who is going for Social Sciences, was tasked with stepping into the spotlight. Sporting an Oregon uni and hat, Kyle stepped up with his 6-foot-4 frame — even going as far to list his athletic background in high school before taking the kick.

Making things even better was the fact that Kyle showed up with a Gameday sign that read, "Hey Pat, kicking is as easy as picking the Ducks to win." Talk about calling your shot!

Kyle missed his first attempt, but with the amount increasing from $80,000 to $100,000 on the second and final chance, he showed no signs of fatigue as he drilled the money-making kick. Kyle also achieved all of this with another celebrity on the field next to him as Rob McElhenney was also a guest.

If you're wondering why Saban was holding the kick, it's because Kirk Herstreit cut out early to bolt to Oklahoma to broadcast the Red River Rivalry. Typically, Herbie is the one to take a knee and hold the ball.

Pat McAfee was loving the fact that Nick Saban took the honors of holding the kick as the Oregon student took home $100,000

Last week, a Cal student successfully completed the challenge. In his case, it was a bit more impressive because he showed up wearing Vans. I'm not entirely sure what is more impressive, though: kicking in Vans or calling out kicking being easy prior to banging one between the uprights on national television.
