California's Daniel Lasco came in to the NFL combine on a bit a low after an injury-plagued 2015 season, but seems to have turned it around with a nice showing at the Combine. He could have possibly had the biggest stock improvement out of the running back group thanks to some really good numbers.
On the broad jump, Lasco nearly jumped out of the building: his broad jump of 11 feet, 3 inches was the best for any running back at the Combine in at least 10 years. Lasco was also first among this year's running backs in the vertical jump at 41.5 inches, second in the 60-yard shuttle at 11.31 seconds, fourth in the 40-yard dash at 4.46 seconds, sixth in the 20-yard shuttle at 4.26 seconds, seventh in the bench press with 23 reps of 225 pounds and 11th in the three-cone drill at 7.22 seconds.
All of that came from the 6-foot, 209-pound back who was not considered a strong draft prospect coming into the week. Lasco played very well in 2014, rushing for 1,115 yards and 12 touchdowns and was actually named the team's MVP, not quarterback Jared Goff who is expected to go high in this year's NFL Draft.
