Deion Sanders Gets Trolled by Saturday Night Live

As if the Deion Sanders craze hadn't gotten big enough, Coach Prime made it onto the big stage by being made fun of by Kenan Thompson and the Saturday Night Live cast.

During the Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michael Che, the segment brought on Thompson in full Colorado Buffaloes gear to impersonate Sanders. Thompson and Jost had plenty of jokes lined up, including making fun of Coach Prime's elite levels of confidence, Colorado as a "HWCU," and joking about the team's 4-3 record.

You can watch the entire segment courtesy of SNL's YouTube channel.

"You don't understand that my team has it all, man," Thompson joked as Sanders. "Coaching, genius. Offensive, explosive. Defense, trying. It's the complete package, man."

Thompson and Jost even had some fun at Colorado's expense after their double overtime loss to the Stanford Cardinal last Friday. The Buffaloes had secured a 29-point lead before falling apart in the second half and allowing Stanford to storm back to give Coach Prime his third loss of the season.

"Wasn't that crazy?" Thompson said. "Man, we were up 29-0 at the half, so I went home and fell asleep. I woke up this morning shocked as anyone."

Sanders has brought plenty of attention to the Buffaloes after a chaotic offseason that involved a huge shakeup of the entire roster thanks to the transfer portal. While Colorado got off to a blazing-hot start with three straight wins to start the season, things have tapered off significantly as of late, with the Buffaloes going just 1-3 with their only win in the last four games coming against a struggling Arizona State program.

Still, there's hope for the future for Colorado beyond just this season. Sanders has brought in top talent including two-way superstar Travis Hunter, and with more recruits and transfers like him, the Buffaloes could make a whole lot of noise in the Big 12 next year.
