Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is dealing with some health issues in the lead-up to his team's road matchup against Arizona State, causing him to miss out on some of his usual weekly obligations.

Sanders appears on a radio show weekly with Colorado play-by-play announcer Mark Johnson, but he missed it this week after a bad reaction to IV therapy.

"We are going without Coach Prime here today," Johnson said on the radio show.
"We received notification a little while again that he was a little under the weather and had a bad reaction to his immune IVs, is what I was told."
Despite this, Johnson and the hosts said they expect Sanders to be on the sidelines coaching this weekend. The Buffaloes can redeem their back-to-back Pac-12 losses against Oregon and USC. They lost to Oregon on the road 42-6 and at home to USC 48-41.

Depending on where you look, the Buffaloes are four-point favorites against the Sun Devils, who are 1-4 on the year. Sanders hasn't been afraid to poke the bear as favorites, either. Leading up to Saturday's game, Coach Prime took some shots at the Sun Devils program, criticizing them for their self-imposed bowl ban as a team that was unlikely to make it to a bowl game in the first place. Sanders even went as far as comparing it to him getting "butt-whoopings" from his mom when he was a kid.
The Buffaloes are 3-2 on the season, and quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Deion's son, continues playing well, completing 74.4 percent of his passes for 1,780 yards, 15 touchdowns, and two interceptions through five games.
A win over the Sun Devils will get them back on track as they take on Stanford, UCLA, and Oregon State in the three games following.
