The Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders have had a headline-generating season at 4-6 amid their early season success and Coach Prime's outspokenness, but now there have been some questions as to whether or not he'll be at the school next year and opposing schools are using those rumors against him, he says.
Since Texas A&M fired Jimbo Fisher, Sanders has been one of many names rumored to take over for him, and despite Sanders saying that's not true, he's saying that schools are telling recruits that he won't be at Colorado next year.
"I don't talk about any other coaches or teams or staffs. I don't believe in that," Sanders said Wednesday. "I am not going to put you down so I can stand up. I've never been that type of player or person in my life. But all these other schools are telling these young men and their families I am not going to be [at Colorado]."
"They think that we're going to be so successful that I am going to leave," he added. "So they understand what we possess and the potential we possess. But that's not true."
The timing of Sanders saying this is valid. They recently lost a four-star wide receiver prospect in Winston Watkins Jr. He re-opened his commitment.
The speculation of Sanders going to College Station came from many corners of the college football universe. One of the notable ones was Stephen A. Smith discussing the possibility of him landing there, but again, Sanders said it's not happening.

"I am here. I am here. My mother is here. My sister is here. My dog is here. My daughter is here. Three of my sons are here. And my other daughter comes out for home games. I get mail here. I pay taxes here. I'm here," Sanders said.
The Buffaloes started the year 3-0 after beating TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State, but since then, they've gone 1-6, only beating Arizona State.
In Week 12, Colorado and Coach Prime will look to get their fifth win against Washington State on Friday night.
