Lundy was a 3-star recruit out of Ocilla, Georgia back in the 2020 recruiting class. Despite offers from the likes of Georgia and Auburn, Lundy decided to head down south and play for the Florida State Seminoles.
After a quiet true freshman season, Lundy has been a regular contributor for the Seminoles over the last three seasons. His career stats include 183 total tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss five sacks, one forced fumble, and an interception.
Deion Sanders has been hard at work trying to add more firepower to his team after a 4-8 record in his debut season for the Buffaloes. Coach Prime used the transfer portal to his advantage last season, bringing his son Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter with him from Jackson State. This season, Sanders and the Buffaloes currently have the No. 1 transfer class in the country, landing some key talent to ideally get the Buffaloes into bowl eligibility next season.
Sanders topping off his transfer class with a Florida State transfer makes the odd relationship with his former college even more interesting. Prior to the start of this season, Sanders claimed that he wasn't a Seminole because he didn't graduate from the ACC program, instead preferring to say that he belonged to the HBCU that he graduated from.
Those comments, on top of Sanders swiping Travis Hunter from Florida State while he was coaching at Jackson State, have made fans of the ACC program a bit less receptive of Coach Prime. Regardless, Sanders is now busy trying to put together a competitive Colorado program during their first season in the Big 12.
