In Week 9 of the 2023 college football season, the Colorado Buffaloes, coming off a bye, lost on the road to the UCLA Bruins, 28-16, but during the game, jewelry belonging to the Colorado players was stolen in their locker room.

In the video above, the players are obviously in disbelief.
"...Go and play football and know your s***'s safe, dog. Y'all messed up, bruh," one of the players said.
"Nobody know s*** bruh. Nobody know s***," another said.
Another player said he got his jewelry "yesterday" before it was stolen.
Following this event, the UCLA athletic department released a statement about filing a report for the missing jewelry.

"The UCLA athletic department confirmed that a report was filed to the Pasadena Police Department following the UCLA-Colorado football game regarding items that were reportedly missing from the Colorado locker room. UCLA is in communication with law enforcement, Rose Bowl Stadium officials, and the University of Colorado on the matter."
Interestingly, a similar situation happened to Jackson State last season, where Buffalo head coach Deion Sanders was before arriving in Boulder. Fortunately, it was found out the jewelry was actually misplaced, not stolen.
As far as action on the field, Colorado dropped to 4-4. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw for 217 yards and a touchdown. Sanders was pressured 23 times, hurried 16 times, hit three times, and sacked four times. This prompted Coach Prime to mention the prospect of getting new linemen.
"The big picture, you go get new lineman. That's the picture, and I'ma paint it perfectly," Sanders said in response to a question after the game.
At 4-4, the Buffaloes are two wins shy of being bowl-eligible. They round out the year against Oregon State, Arizona, Washington State, and Utah, in that order.
At DraftKings Sportsbook, Colorado is a 13-point home underdog to Oregon State.
