With Nick Saban officially retiring as the Alabama Crimson Tide's head coach, the domino effect is already at play less than 24 hours after news of his departure broke Wednesday.

It didn't take long for five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams to decommit from Alabama, and given that Alabama players have a new 30-day window to transfer, it wouldn't be a surprise to see more movement within the program. Heck, Alabama was already experiencing a mass exodus of sorts in the transfer portal following its Rose Bowl loss to Michigan.
Now, one of college football's most recognizable quarterbacks is using Saban's retirement for his own gain. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is taking Saban's retirement to recruit players to play with him under his dad, Deion Sanders, if Shedeur's recent post on X is any indication.

"Alabama players tap n," he wrote.
It isn't a bad idea for Shedeur to try to lure some talent to Boulder. The Buffaloes return Shedeur, star two-way player Travis Hunter Jr., and currently rank No. 3 in team transfer portal rankings. Deion's been putting an emphasis on improving the offensive line and skill positions through the portal. Plus, Colorado already nabbed former Alabama defensive tackle Anquin Barnes Jr. in December.
I guess only time will tell what Alabama players do. But first, they may want to know who the new head coach in Tuscaloosa will be.
