Travis Hunter Links up With Colorado State Player Who Injured Him

Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter has no bad blood with Colorado State's Henry Blackburn, the player who injured him.

Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter has been out since a hit from Colorado State Rams safety Henry Blackburn landed him in the hospital in Week 3, but it appears the two athletes are putting it behind them and burying the hatchet.

On his Instagram, Blackburn, who received death threats after the hit, reposted a video on his story where the two greet one another.

"God has a bigger plan," Blackburn wrote.

Following the hit, Blackburn was hit with a personal foul penalty, but many wondered if it was dirty and constituted a targeting call.

Hunter was taken to the hospital after the game, and some outlets reported he had a lacerated liver. Following the injury, head coach Deion Sanders said he would miss the next few weeks, including last week's game against the Oregon Ducks, in which they lost 42-6, and their home matchup in Week 5 against Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans.

During a team meeting this week, Sanders also revealed that Hunter demanded to play this week against the Trojans. Sanders denied his request, but he used it to motivate his team and demonstrate Hunter's passion for wanting to be there and play with his squad.

Hunter finished the Colorado State matchup with two receptions for 21 yards and allowed just one catch for 14 yards.

Nevertheless, the safety and receiver are putting this behind them as they advance their college careers.

As mentioned, the Buffaloes will take on the Trojans as multi-touchdown home underdogs this week.
