Could Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders and quarterback Shedeur Sanders head to the NFL after this season? One analyst thinks it would be the ultimate chaotic idea.
In the wake of the Las Vegas Raiders firing head coach Josh McDaniels, general manager Dave Ziegler, and benching starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the internet has wasted little time coming up with theories for the next steps of the Raiders franchise.
One that stuck out more than any other was from ESPN's Draft Analyst Matt Miller.

Right now, the Raiders are already paying tens of millions to fired coaches Jon Gruden and Josh McDaniels. Still, Miller has sparked a theory of the Raiders hiring Sanders, drafting his son Shedeur, and reshaping the franchise.
"Just because I root for chaos: Raiders hire Deion Sanders. Shedeur enters the draft and refuses to play for anyone but his dad, and becomes the team's franchise QB. How fun would that be?" Miller said.
According to Joel Klatt, a FOX Sports lead college football analyst, he said that Coach Prime told him he wasn't going to the NFL.
"I don't know if he's going to be at Colorado for sure, I can't say that, but he's not going to the NFL," Klatt said. "Deion doesn't want to coach in the NFL. He's told me that point blank to my face. He believes that his role is more as a mentor. He loves coaching kids, and this is where he feels called.
"In fact, the word he used with us in our meeting, and you'll know this because he is very forward about his faith, is that he believes this is his ministry — to be there for kids in college, to be there for kids at this moment in their life. ... He's not going to the NFL. Period."
Furthermore, Sanders is signed to a five-year, $29.5 million deal with Colorado. He's actively recruiting, bringing in a top JUCO offensive lineman and a quarterback who will undoubtedly be the heir apparent to Shedeur.
As far as Shedeur going to the NFL, it's certainly possible. He's played well this season, completing 70.3% of his passes for 2,636 yards, 22 touchdowns, and three interceptions despite getting sacked a nation-leading 39 times and pressure the second-most with 158.
This is a fun theory for "chaos" purposes, but it's less than one percent likely, given the state of the Raiders right now and how much money is owed to fired coaches. Still, a super fun Madden-like scenario.
