Oregon State has only won six games in the last two seasons, but they recently extended coach Gary Anderson's contract.

Anderson's original contract was for six seasons, and this extension is only for one additional season. So he is now under contract with the Beavers until the 2021 season.
According to OregonLive, Anderson makes $2.45 million per season with annual $100,000 raises. That makes the last year of his deal worth $2.95 million.
The Beavers finished 4-8 overall and 3-6 in Pac-12 play in 2016, which was an improvement over 2015's 2-10 season. Anderson's team did defeat Oregon for the first time since 2007, although the Ducks had an equally terrible season.
To Anderson's credit, he didn't exactly inherit a contender from Mike Riley. However, this was the worst two-year stretch for the program since 1995-96. The Beavers are also in a really tough division with teams such as No. 4 Washington, Washington State and Stanford.
Anderson had success at previous stops at Utah State and Wisconsin, and Oregon State is one of the toughest Power 5 jobs in college football. If the Beavers make another two-game improvement next season, it would be a big step in the right direction for the program.
