Rebuilding Pac-12 reportedly power steals away staffer from ACC team

An interesting hire for sure.

Oregon is trying to rebuild its brand and its team under new head coach Mario Cristobal. That starts with recruiting and it looks like the Ducks are going to steal away a solid recruiter from the ACC. According to 247Sports, Oregon is expected to hire Stephen Field from Louisville where he served as Director of High School Relations in 2017.

Field has a long history in the state of Florida as he was the tight end coach and recruiting coordinator for Florida A&M in 2016 and was the head football coach for North Marion Senior High in 2014 and 2015. He was also named Florida Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2015. He was also a defensive assistant at Miami from 2006 to 2008.

He will join Cort Dennison as the second staffer from Louisville to join Cristobal's staff. If the Ducks start getting a lot more talent from the east coast you can bet it's going to be Field's doing.
