Cota also had offers from schools like Oregon, Notre Dame, and Alabama, but in the end, the tall receiver chose UCLA and new head coach Chip Kelly.
Cota is only the 12th commitment for UCLA's 2018 class, but it is a class that is extremely top heavy so far, and still ranks as 21st in the nation over at 247Sports. Kelly and the Bruins still have plenty of time to add some depth to the class, but they — and Jim Mora Jr. before them — did a good job at laying the groundwork for this class.
