Utah running back Joe Williams retired from play earlier this season, citing wear and tear from football as the reason why.
His retirement was short lived, though, as multiple injuries to Utah's running back corps forced the team's coaches to reach back out to Williams hoping he could play again. Williams obliged, and in his second game back, he broke Utah's single-game rushing record in their game against UCLA.

Talk about an epic return to the field.
Williams wound up with 332 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries for the day. While it was a high scoring affair in the Rose Bowl, No. 19 Utah didn't waste his efforts; the Utes got the 52-45 win over UCLA.
