Paul Finebaum gives his College Football Playoff rankings after Georgia's loss

Previous No. 1 Georgia lost at Auburn 40-17 on Saturday.

The third version of the 2017 College Football Playoff rankings will be unveiled on Tuesday night, and one of the major focuses of those rankings will be how everything will fall after No. 1 Georgia's loss to Auburn, as well as No. 7 Miami's 41-8 win over No. 3 Notre Dame.

ESPN's Paul Finebaum has now given his take on the matter, where he sees Alabama as the No. 1 team.

Another interesting take from Finebaum is that he currently has 9-1 Oklahoma over 9-0 Miami. Miami did look spectacular in their win over Notre Dame on Saturday night, but up to that point, the Hurricanes did have several lackluster performances that were holding them back in the rankings despite the undefeated record. It looks like the big win was enough to move Miami up to No. 3 for Finebaum, but not enough to overtake the Sooners, who have beaten Oklahoma State and TCU in back-to-back weeks.

Finebaum also has Auburn up at No. 5 despite two losses on the season. If the same is reflected in the actual Playoff rankings on Tuesday night, that would likely prove that the Tigers are in if they are able to win out.

The Playoff rankings will be released at 9:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday night.
