Pittsburgh player cheapshotted the Penn State kicker on a touchback for no good reason

He has no excuse for this idiotic play.

Pittsburgh freshman linebacker Saleem Brightwell took a cheap shot at Penn State kicker Joey Julius, on a play that resulted in a touchback.

Brightwell was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on the play, after Penn State scored on a one-yard run to bring the Nittany Lions within striking distance, 28-14, before the end of the first half.

There are accidents and there are moments when you're just stupid. For Brightwell, this was the latter.

Julius is the Penn State kicker who blew up a Kent State player last week on a kickoff return, so maybe he sold it just a little bit.
