The Columbus Dispatch has also reported that a civil protection order was filed against Dunn on Monday.
Dunn had 48 carries in his Ohio State career, gaining 287 total yards (5.98 YPC) and three touchdown. Had become used less and less in his career, but he had figured for an upswing this year; Dunn was penciled in to get a lot of time on the field this season, as the team's leading rusher — Ezekiel Elliott — was drafted No. 4 by the Cowboys int eh 2016 NFL Draft.

Ohio State won't have to worry too much, though. Urban Meyer and company have done a fantastic job in recruiting in recent years, so they will have the talent to fill the running back spot. Where Dunn's loss does hurt is that the Buckeyes do lose some valued experience at the position.
Ohio State opens the season on September 3 with a home date against Bowling Green.
