Bob Stoops' Saturday began with a big-time recruiting win in snatching talented 2017 defensive lineman Troy James away from a previous commitment to Arkansas. That was just the first victory of the day for the Oklahoma Sooners, though, as Stoops and his staff also secured a commitment from four-star 2017 wide receiver Ryan Jones.

The Sooners have reportedly been on Jones for more than 18 months and that hard work paid off here. The 6-foot-2, 219-pound prospect actually rates as an "athlete" prospect (No. 15 overall in the category) according to 247Sports and that could speak to the fact that the explosive wide receiver could also be evaluated on the defensive side of the ball as either a big, powerful cornerback or a ball-hawking safety at the next level.
Regardless of what role he fills for Oklahoma, this is a big-time addition. With Jones on board, the Sooners now own the No. 7 recruiting class in the country and that is nothing new under Stoops and his talented staff. It will be interesting to see where Oklahoma goes from here but, at the very least, they pick up yet another four-star prospect to round out what has already been a fantastic weekend of recruiting in Norman.
